It basically adds a second layer of protection by requiring you to add the information only you know/have at the moment. 2FA is gaining more popularity each day due to how secure and simple this verification method is.
Fancentro uses SMS verification. It is arguably one of the most popular forms of 2FA as it is tied to a personal cellphone, something everyone has in this day and age.
When a user logs in, a verification code is sent to her(is) phone as an SMS message. The user then types the code into the login form and successfully gains access to the account.
The biggest advantage of SMS verification is its simplicity as the process only takes a few seconds, and it is a simple way to prevent password breaches for good.
There are two ways to enable 2FA:
In the Account section → Security by switching the toggle On and entering the phone number in the appeared window.
By clicking on the "Enable now!" in the notification that appears on top of the page and entering the phone number in the appeared window.
